Lauren Wanamaker performed a livestream concert on Sunday, June 7, 2026, presented by Live From the Gilded Palace. The performance brought her roots-soaked folk songwriting, evocative vocals and self-described “manic folksy indie country dream worm” sound into the intimate, high-fidelity setting of The Palace.
A Pacific Northwest native based in Nashville, Wanamaker had emerged as a distinctive voice in the new folk sphere, blending roots, folk, Americana and alt-country influences with deeply personal songwriting centered on family, spirituality, grief and identity. Her 2023 EP Rest & Reprieve introduced her vocally driven sound, while 2025’s Glitter further developed her mix of classic folk traditions and contemporary Americana. Her influences include Sufjan Stevens, Adrianne Lenker and Neko Case, while her live performances have drawn comparisons to Brandi Carlile, Julia Jacklin, Natalie Merchant, Jewel and Sierra Ferrell.
At The Palace, Wanamaker performed original songs in a stripped-down, intimate format that put the focus on her expressive vocals, songwriting and storytelling. The performance offered an up-close look at an emerging artist bringing a fresh, emotionally direct perspective to modern folk music.
